Barack Obama and John McCain were each asked to list their ten favorite songs, and both did. McCain now gets grief from some quarters for putting two Abba songs in his top ten, but I say give the guy a break. Me, I'd have swapped "Chiquitita" for "Dancing Queen," but there's nothing wrong with liking Abba.
Obama's list is pretty good, too, but it reads like an "artist's choice" homework assignment from the "Hear Music" division of Starbucks Coffee. It feels (like his office) manufactured.
I will say this, based on personal experience yesterday: fun is driving to a grocery store with your kids in the back seat, and all of you singing along to Jimmy Buffet's song, "Volcano."

John McCain has something in common with your goddaughter. Dancing Queen is Tessie's favorite song in the world. She jumps up and down with glee (and dances, naturally) when she hears it. She is the Dancing Queen.
