Pikabu, formerly the world's greatest housecat, shuffled off this mortal coil three months ago, after a happy life. She would sometimes amuse herself by hunting birds and mice, but it was her prowess at scorpion killing when we lived in Scottsdale, AZ, that cemented her status as "senior critter" in the O'Hannigan household.
An unofficial member of the neighborhood watch in four different neighborhoods, she was black as night, blazing fast in a sprint, affectionate on her own terms, and too smart to be a Halloween prop even though she did an admirable job of acting that way more than eight years.
Speaking of All Hallows Eve, while Elizabeth Esther makes the common mistake of confusing "tracts" with "tracks," her Halloween thoughts are still worth reading, not least because she knows it's not a "Pagan Holiday"

I am Patrick and I have ignored my entire family, blogging over 35 hours per week while my wife works over 80 hours per week. Since last year's car accident, I have spent ZERO time with my wife or kids and have been blogging abought theology. I have been a hyporcrite, a liar and an absolute failure as a husband and a father and a man. I have not spent one minute with my wife or kids.PLEASE IF ANYONE knows a solution (like a 3 month booth camp for totally cluless men) to how to do a good father, husband and man, please help. I have been letting my wife handle all finances, home fixing, pet taking care of, massive amts of doctor vsits, investmenys etc.I am so clue less that I thought paying $10 more on health insurance was life insurance. I am really hopeless. Please help if you can.. The whole family is going to leave me in a week if I don't change drastically. I Basically, I work 40 hour and then blog 45 hours. My wife wants to leave me and I need nelp, Kids also want to leave me because i spend no time with them and have become extra mean since the accident. if you can help please email me. also, i know i blog a great deal about theology, b ut my wife will leave me if if do not find a way to get Jesus into my heart rather than my head, they will leave me and go back to Ca.. I think you shod stop going on the internet all until your kids and wife no longer need you. Nothing is more is more important than family.
